Job Title: Draftsperson/Designer
Department: Office Staff
Reports to: Sales Manager
Job Summary: The Draftsperson/Designer position is key to keeping the custom design and sales process moving. This position interacts with clients, works independently on tasks, and coordinates internally with the construction team. A strong work ethic, dependability, clear communication, a willingness to learn, and general knowledge of construction methods are also required.
Key Requirements:
- Strong Computer Skills
- Ability to create 3D Design Renderings
- Auto CAD Experience (Preferred)
- Ability to read Construction Blueprints
- Knowledge of residential construction, building methods, codes, & Structural Requirements
- Should have experience in Architectural software (Examples: Chief Architect, Mitek, Javelin or equivalent)
- Able to utilize spreadsheets and Word or Google Documents
- Creative design abilities and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
- Ability to create blueprints and construction details

This is an office position to be carried out from the Bear Creek office in Waynesboro, VA.
