THE BEAR NECESSITIES

A few of our Favorite Things to #LiveOutdoors

On summer Saturday mornings, our hardworking local farmers and artisans bring their seasonal bounties and craft to showcase. Enjoy the slowing down of a meandering stroll through the various booths of vendors. Let it take you to visions of simpler times before big box stores and bulk shopping. Listen to live musicians share their passions as you soak up the sights and sounds of the bustling markets. Talk to the farmers and artisans to hear their stories, encourage their labors of love and share in supporting their livelihood while receiving the gifts of local fare. Experience the nourishment of local produce picked fresh that week and pasture raised meats and eggs, carried just minimal miles to your home.

Our areas Farmer’s Markets offer local produce in season from asparagus to zucchini, artisan breads and a wide variety of delicious baked goods, free range meats and eggs, cheeses and prepared foods. Seasonal fresh cut flowers, bedding and nursery plants, select local crafts and much more. Add visiting a local Farmer’s Market to your Summer bucket list. Better yet, make it a Saturday morning weekly summer tradition.
